Panaji: Independent MLA Rohan Khaunte has written to Union Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change Prakash Javadekar urging him to rethink on infrastructure projects in Goa that are causing an irreparable damage to the biodiversity of our state.
Khaunte said that the state is witnessing the wrath of Mother Earth, when the entire world is focusing to conserve the planet, it’s an embarrassing that Goa government has been acting otherwise, promoting thoughtless infrastructure development at the cost of what makes Goa special – it’s forests and biodiversity.
