Ponda: The Bharatiya Janata Party has announced Ritesh Ravi Naik as its candidate for the upcoming Ponda by-election scheduled to be held on April 9.
Ritesh Naik, son of former State Agriculture Minister Ravi Naik, will represent the BJP in the by-poll, which was necessitated following Ravi Naik’s demise on October 15, 2025.
He is a former Chairperson of the Ponda Municipal Council and his candidature was announced through the party’s official social media platforms on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the Indian National Congress has already fielded Dr Ketan Bhatikar as its candidate from the constituency.
