Registration opens for ‘The Purple Fest – 2023’

Panaji: The Office of the State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities has announced the opening of registrations for its first-ever inclusive festival, The Purple Fest, which will take place from January 6th to 8th, 2023.

While addressing the media on Monday at Secretariat, Porvorim, Subhash Phaldessai, Minister for Social Welfare said, “The event is free to attend for Goan delegates, exhibitors, media and students with disabilities from around the country. Moreover, all other delegates and exhibitors across the country will be required to pay a fee of Rs. 1000”.

“The registration form has two categories: individual and organization. NGOs or institutions working in the field of disability, can get a 50 percent discount. Those who register under the organisation category with more than 10 participants will be charged 500 rs each”, he added.

Phaldessai further informed that the registration link for ‘The Purple Fest’ would be disseminated on the Office of the State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities’ social media sites and on the Commission’s website”.

Also present at the press conference were  Guruprasad Pawaskar, the State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities and Taha Haaziq, Secretary, Office of the State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities.
