Rave party busted at Vagator, 23 including three foreigner women arrested

Panaji:  Three foreigner women were amongst 23 people arrested by Crime Branch after raiding a rave party at Vagator village in North Goa on Saturday night.

The Crime Branch sleuths swooped down on a drug-laced party at Vagator that was undergoing in a villa, organised by an Indian man.

A senior CB official said three women — two from Russia and one from Czech Republic — were arrested under stringent Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act for possessing banned substance during the raid by police.

An Indian man, who had organized the party, was also arrested under NDPS Act, police said.

Nineteen others who were present in the party were arrested for violating the laws related to social distancing.

Police said that amongst nineteen people, several of them are domestic tourists, who had arrived to holiday in the coastal state.

Narcotics worth over Rs nine lakh was seized at the party venue.

Congratulating the team, Director General of Police Mukesh Kumar Meena tweeted “Zero tolerance to #Drugs and Ensuring Public Safety #goapolice Crime Branch busted a late night party in Anjuna. 23 persons including 3 foreigners were arrested and narcotic drugs worth over Rs 9 lac were seized.”

Police said that the team of Crime Branch officials including Police Inspectors Rahul Parab, Narayan Chimulkar, Somnath Majik and Police Sub Inspectors including Nitin Halarnkar, Marlon D’Souza, Sandhya Gupta and  Reema Naik busted the party.
