Vasco: Union Minister Ramdas Athavale said that he would be writing to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi requesting him to compensate all the states which are affected with the recent cyclone.
Athavale said that the PM, after touring Gujarat, has assured financial package of Rs 1,000 crore to the state.
“PM has also asked other states to assess the losses and submit the claim to the centre,” he said.
Athavale said that he would be writing letter to the Prime Minister requesting him to provide financial assistance to all the states, which are impacted with the cyclone.
He said that the states like Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu have faced losses due to the cyclone.
He said that after touring Konkan in Maharashtra, he has urged Chief Minister to provide financial compensation of Rs 50,000 per hectare to the farmers as there is huge losses to their crops due to the cyclone.
