Panaji: Goa government on Wednesday said that the private hospitals in the state will also admit the critical COVID-19 patients.
State Health Minister Vishwajit Rane said that denial of admission by private hospitals will lead to strict action against the hospital.
Rane tweeted “To ensure all patients are delivered the required healthcare and facilities, private hospitals will now be taking up critical cases along with mild and moderate cases. Denial of admission will lead to strict action against the hospital.”
Goa government has taken over 21 private private hospitals in the state which are in the COVID-19 management.
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant had said that the Admissions in these Hospitals will be managed by the government while management will continue with the existing set up.
