Panaji: Chairman of District Legal Services Authority, South Goa and and Principal District and Sessions Judge Mr. Irshad Agha inaugurated the Prison Legal Clinic for the prisoners at Central Jail Colvale in the presence of the Secretary Ms. Sarika N. Fal Dessai, Superintendent of Prisons Mr. Gaurish Kuttikar and the Legal Aid Defense Counsels.
The object of Prison Legal Aid clinic is to provide meaningful, efficient and effective legal services and assistance to prisoners. The names of the Legal Aid Defense Counsels along with contact numbers and mail is provided at the clinic.
The said clinic will be open from 10.00 am to 12.00 pm and 2.00 pm to 5.00 pm.
Para Legal Volunteer Mr. Rajesh Mahajan will be present at the clinic who will assist the prisoners.
The Legal Aid Defence Counsels will also be visiting the clinic.
