Panaji: Prime Accused Kapil Jhaveri in Vagator rave party case, who is also a small time Bollywood actor, had met Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and Art and Culture Minister Govind Gawade recently.
The pictures of the accused wishing Sawant on his birth flanked by Rajya Sabha MP Vinay Tendulkar are posted on various social media groups.
Similarly, the accused is also spotted with Gawade in his chamber handing over a memento.
Chief Minister, in his statement to Daily Lokmat, has admitted of meeting the accused officially, but has said that police are given free hand to investigate Jhaveri.
“I have not interfered in the police investigation. The accused had met me as a chief minister,” he said.
This is for the second time that Gawade has been caught in similar controversy. In the past, fake UP minister had met Gawade before being caught in the act.
