Porvorim: PWD Minister Deepak Pawaskar today assured the State Legislative Assembly that the potholes, across all the roads, would be filled before the upcoming Ganesh festival.
Pawaskar said that the estimate to repair the roads has been prepared for all the 12 talukas and the work is expected to begin soon after finance department approval.
He also warned to hold the road contractors accountable in near future, if the standard works are not done and also if fails to undertake the maintenance.
Congress MLA Alexio Reginaldo Lourenco demanded that government should immediately take up work to fill the potholes, which are turning out to be death trap.
