Ponda: Ponda police has arrested a school teacher for allegedly molesting five girl students at a government run school at Kundaim .
An FIR has been filed against accused Manoj Phadte. He has been booked under section 354 of the Indian Penal Code and relevant section of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offence act.
Superintendent of Police (South Goa) Arvind Gawas informed media that the accused Manoj Phadte has been arrested following complaint filed by the educational institution’s internal complaints committee on behalf of the girl students.
Gawas said that all the five girl students had raised their complaint with the school committee.
