Margao – Pioneer of Rassa Omelette kiosk in Margao Ashok Atmaaram Naik passed away on Friday 17th July in the afternoon at his residence in Comba after a brief illness. He was 62 years. He is survived by his wife Archana, Son Sagar, Daughter in law Simaran, Grand Children Sanavi, Shivansh and Shivanya.
Final rites will be performed on Saturday 18th July at 10 am at Mathgramstha Hindu Sabha Crematorium, Margao.
He started the omelette business in 1978 in Margao on the footpath of Municipal Garden, Margao. Later in 1980 he shifted near SBI and never looked back since then. His most popular dish was Rassa Omelette. He also served Chicken and Mutton dishes.
Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat and condoled his death. In his condolence message Margao MLA said ” Deepely saddened by the sad demise of pioneer of Rassa Omelette Kiosk in Margao Ashok Atmaram Naik. My condolences to his family. May his soul rest in peace.

Digambar Kamat further said that Ministers, Artists from all across Goa visited his Kiosk i the evenings. He gave a Status to Rassa Omelette business. He used to finish all his cooked items before packing for the day and returning home Digambar Kamat said.
