Mayem: Delivering its promise, Goa Forward Party led by Vijai Sardesai has finally issued work order for fixing sluice gate at Pain Khajan at Pilgao in Mayem Assembly Constituency.
GFP Mayem leader Santosh Kumar Sawant had raised this issue with the party and the government after locals had approached him.
“Promised farmers of Pilgao, few days back during the visit of Goa Forward Party President and Agriculture Minister Vijai Sardesai. Work order issued today for fixing the gates at Pain Khajan in Pilgao. On behalf of farmers, I thank our leader Vijai Sardesai and WRD minister Vinod Palyekar for quick action,” Sawant has tweeted.
The work order has been issued at an estimate of Rs 5.08 lakh. The contractor has been asked to start the work soon and complete it within 30 days.
