Calangute: The Lobos — Calangute MLA Michael Lobo and Siolim MLA Delilah Lobo — on Tuesday expressed their dissatisfaction over happenings in the tourist hotspot coastal belt.
Michael was reacting to the unceremonious transfer of Calangute PI Paresh Naik and a PSI, which is apparently a fallout of the action taken against bouncers of a nightclub who had attacked two local youths. Michael stated, “Calangute PI Paresh Naik is being made the scapegoat.”
“Multiple incidents occurred within a short span during his tenure, leading to his suspension in the past. However, his commendable work remains overlooked,” he added.
His wife, Siolim MLA Delilah Lobo, said that the Chief Minister should take strict action against those involved in creating a nuisance in coastal areas, as Goa is a tourism state and tourists should feel safe.
