Panaji: The Corporation of the City of Panaji (CCP) today conducted public consultation on the draft Coastal Zone Management Plan (CZMP) for the city, which the citizens strongly objected raising several anomalies in the plan.
Citizens, particularly the fishing community and experts pointed out omission of important features like sand dunes, St Inez creek, fishing zones, campal forest, etc from the plan drafted by National Centre for Sustainable Coastal Management (NCSCM).
The suggestions and objections raised by the public would be placed before CCP council for approval and the same would be then forwarded to CZMP for incorporation.
