Vasco: AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal arrived in Goa on Friday on his three-day-long visit to the coastal state, during which he will be interacting with party volunteers.
Kejriwal was received on Friday at Goa International Airport, Dabolim, by local leaders. The party’s Goa desk incharge and Delhi’s Leader of Opposition Atishi, and Goa unit president Valmiki Naik were also present on the occasion.
Talking to reporters after arriving at the airport, Kejriwal said that people are protesting everywhere in Goa.
“Everywhere in Goa, people are protesting against the BJP government, be it Chimbel, Pernem, or Mayem. People are protesting against the BJP,” he said, referring to various agitations, including opposition to the Unity Mall in the state.
Kejriwal alleged that in the last 15 years, the BJP has only run the government with corruption and gundaraj.
“The people of Pernem are protesting for healthcare, Chimbel residents are protesting to save their lake, and people of Mayem are protesting against mining,” he said.
The former Delhi CM said that, on the contrary, the AAP government is providing people with Rs 10 lakh health insurance, good schools, hospitals, free electricity, and good roads.
“People of Goa are now looking for change. They are looking at AAP with hope to bring change,” he added.
