Panaji: The Public Works Department (PWD) in a statement issued today has announced about the partial closure of Borim bride for a period of ten days from October 21 to 30, for undertaking repairs of expansion joints.
“Borim Bridge on NH-17B will remain partially closed for all vehicular traffic for 10 days from October 21 to 30, 2019 allowing traffic of both the ways on one lane, resulting slow down of traffic on both sides of bridge, during repairing of expansion joints,” PWD said.
There were news about vibration on the bridge during vehicular movement.
PWD had clarified that it is caused due to finger type expansion joint, which will be taken up immediately for repairs.
