Panaji: Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar on Tuesday chaired the meeting of Mopa Airport Development Authority (MADA) and held extensive project review, his office said.
The airport is a greenfield project taking shape at Mopa village in North Goa. The first phase of the project is expected to commission in the year 2020.
Parrikar is the Chairman of MADA.
In a press note released here, CMO has said that CM had extensive project review on various aspects of development of the Airport.
“CM stressed that benefits of various economic opportunities and employment opportunities has to go to Goans particularly to the project affected villages, ” CMO said.
Earlier during the day, CM had held meeting of state Personnel department and had taken stock of pending vacancies and promotions in various departments.
