Panaji: Health Minister Vishwajit Rane has said that Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar is in touch with the entire cabinet. He also said that few congressmen are likely to meet Amit Shah during his Goa visit.
“Whether scheme of the government or any issue, that is being resolved. Cm on weekly basis is in touch with all the ministers. Whatever issues are there are being addressed by interacting with the cm. I feel that the congress party is unnecessarily getting excited,” Rane said.
The minister claimed that the statements of the Congress leaders about change in the chief minister is an attempt to “keep their (Congress) flock together.” “The congress party is getting on different tone and trying to demand change of leadership. They don’t have to give us advice. Parrikar has mandate of the people,” he said.
Responding to a question, Rane said nobody knows the exact date at which Parrikar is coming back to the STate. “But I feel we should give him exemption as all his life he has given for the state of goa. I am sure he knows the responsibility as the cm,” he said.
“Doctors are very happy with the recovery of Parrikar and I am confident cm will come back to the state healthy,” he added.
Rane said BJP led government has the numbers in Goa assembly. The chief minister is unwell and nobody can question whether he can take leave of absence or not. “He is undergoing treatment. Governmenet is running well. Every minister is performing and delivering whatever our priorities are,” he said.
The minister said that there are several congressmen who are in touch with BJP for changing their political affiliations. “There are lot of congressmen who in touch with BJP. They may even seek appointment with BJP national amit shah during his visit in the state of Goa on May 13,” he said.
Rane adviced to keep a watch on who from the congress will meet amit shah. “It is this insecurity of congress party that is forcing them to make statement that something new is going to happen. Nothing new is going to happen. Even in 2019 nothing is going to change,” he said referring to the ensuing Lok Sabha polls.
“This government is going to last the full term. There is no instability in the bjp led government. There is no issue between bjp and allies. We will ensure that government completes five year term,” he added.
