Panaji: In an indirect attack on Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai’s plan to name Fatorda street after Manohar Parrikar, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant today requested people not to use such tall leader name for small works or projects.
“Manohar Parrikar is a tall leader and I don’t think people should put his image down by naming anything and everything after him,” Sawant said while speaking during the inauguration o Manohar Parrikar Memorial Hall at Sanjay School Porvorim.
“I am making this sincere request. I know, no one will approach government or even take permission from Utpal Parrikar for naming certain project after Parrikar. But when we want to give name of Parrikar, those should be big projectd and not small one,” he added.
