Panaji: TCP Minister Vijai Sardesai today said that Manohar Parrikar had shown inclination to resign as Chief Minister owing to his health condition.
Talking to reporters, Sardesai said that Parrikar had shown inclination to resign. “Basically, he wanted to give up CM post all together. He had even shown inclination to give his portfolios when he was admitted in Dukle’s,” he stated.
“But then several things happened. BJP high command stepped in…it is entirely not in his (Parrikar) hand,” Sardesai said without speaking anything further.
Parrikar, who is currently undergoing treatment at his personal residence, has been ailing since mid February. He is suffering from pancreatic cancer.
Speaking about Revenue Minister Rohan Khaunte’s outburst, Sardesai said “I have always been saying that there is some sort of impact of CM ill health and that is showing”.
