Panaji: Even as Goa Board has announced cancellation of SSC and HSSC examination, the Samagra Shiksha, Goa will seek advice from the Board on holding the practical examinations under its National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF).

Several parents are apprehensive over the move as the students have already resigned to the fact that the Board Examination has been cancelled.

Shambhu Ghadi, Nodal Officer, Nodal officer (NSQF) Goa Samagra Shiksha, confirmed that the department is in process of submitting a proposal to hold practical examination for SSC and HSSC students.

He said that the practical examination could be in offline or online mode.

“We will seek advice from the Goa Board and State government on holding the practicals,” he said adding that the practicals are necessary to have certificate from National Skill Development Council.

The parents are apprehensive and confused over the move. One of the parents from Margao zone question the flip flop of the government over holding of the examination. “If they have cancelled the HSSC and SSC examination than why this sudden decision to hold practicals,” he questioned.
