Panaji: The capital city Panaji will be soon bifurcated from the jurisdiction of North Goa Planning and Development Authority (NGPDA) for its inclusion in Greater Panaji Planning and development authority (GPPDA).
GPPDA chairman Atanasio Monserratte told reporters that it was a long pending move, which would be now implemented. ” Then CM Manohar Parrikar was not keen to include Panaji, which was his constituency in GPPDA. So the proposal was held back, ” Monserratte said.
He said that the proposal would be now placed before the new Town and country planning (TCP) board for decision.
