Panaji: Rashmi Bhaidkar attached as a lady sub inspector in Panaji police station has been under fire for providing wrong information to Crime Branch.
PSI Rashmi who was investigating the case of forged caste certificate allegedly involving Vasco based Andrew D’Cunha has been accused of furnishing wrong information to the Crime Branch.
St Cruz based activist Inacio Domnick Pereira had filed a formal complaint with the Crime Branch against D’Cunha for issuing the fake certificates which were used to get the caste certificates.
The Crime Branch had referred the case to Panaji police station asking them to investigate it and take the necessary action.
PSI Rashmi in her submission before the Crime Branch recently had stated that the FIR against Andrew was already filed. Crime Branch after inquiry has revealed that no FIR was filed while PSI Rashmi submitted false information to them.
Crime Branch Inspector Rajan Nigalye in the letter written to Panaji Police Inspector Siddhanth Shirodkar has pointed that fake information was provided by PSI Rashmi.
Crime Branch has requested Panaji Police Inspector to take necessary action into the matter and submit Action Taken Report to the complainant under intimation to Crime Branch at the earliest.
