The Aam Aadmi Party today said it was satisfied that the High Court has directed the Respondent state government to file an affidavit on steps taken to repair the potholed ridden roads in the state. General Secretary of the Aam Aadmi Party Pradeep Padgaonkar who is the Petitioner in the matter said that he was encouraged by the fact that the Court itself drew the attention of the Advocate General to an earlier order by the same Court in Bombay wherein detailed guidelines were laid to draw a mechanism for the people to lodge complaints against bad roads and potholes. Padgaonkar said that display of the names of the contractors as well as engineers at site of work is one of the prayers before the Court the others being a Court monitored investigation into the loss of lives and the corruption involved as well appointment of a commissioner so that people can report cases to him . Besides the state, petitioner has made the PWD, Directors of both the Municipal as well as the Panchayats Administration and the Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation. The matter will now be heard on the 14th of October
