Porvorim: The state legislative assembly session witnessed fiery scene on the floor of the House on Friday when former Agriculture minister Vijai Sardesai and current minister Chandrakant Kavlekar had argumentative discussion on the issue of organic farming.
Responding to the accusation of ‘doing nothing’ for the organic farming in the state, Sardesai taunted Kavlekar saying ‘organic farming is not like matka gambling to click overnight.’
Sardesai pointed out that the state government was promoting fertilizers amongst the farmers while it was supposed to encourage them to take up organic farming.
