“Dear CM of Goa, Please continue with lockdown,” the petition reads, which has been widely circulated and appreciated on various social media platforms.

The signatories are worried that relaxing the lockdown can result in spreading of Coronavirus.

Oncosurgeon Dr Shekhar Salkar was amongst those who posted his message urging chief minister to reconsider his decision.

“Dr Pramod bab Please reverse your decision of opening total lockdown in the largest interest of health of the goan people. We don’t want to go the way Italy and USA has gone! Let’s show to the world that we are different and we will do 200 per cent lockdown successfully to save every life of Goenkar,” Salkar said.
