Panaji: Chief minister Pramod Sawant on Wednesday said that bringing in and implementing reforms for the development of the nation is the commitment of the union cabinet.
Sawant was referring to the decision of Union Cabinet to implement one-nation-one-election in the country.
The chief minister wrote on X handle: Bringing in & Implementing Reforms for the development of the nation is the commitment of the Union Cabinet led by Prime Minister @narendramodi.
“The Union Cabinet accepted the recommendations of High-Level Committee chaired by Former President of India Ram Nath Kovind Ji, on Simultaneous Elections i.e. One Nation One Election in the country,” he said.
The chief minister said “The biggest electoral reforms shall bring stability, determined terms for the Governments and saving resources. I wholeheartedly welcome this decision.”
