Panaji: The number of Coronavirus infection cases in Goa rose up to seven with one more patient testing positive during the test conducted at Goa medical college and hospital, near here.
State Health minister Vishwajit Rane said on Saturday that a person from St Estevam village, 20 kms away from Panaji, has tested positive.
“The person had returned from abroad. He was tested after he showed COVID-19 symptoms,” Rane said.
He said that the patient has been admitted to specially designated COVID hospital in South Goa,
This is the seventh case in the state. In the first six cases, five were working on a ship.
