Old Goa: Old Goa Police on Thursday filed First Information Report against unknown person based on the complaint filed by Public Works Department.
The incident was brought to light of PWD by Goa based NGO Hope Foundation’s Andrea Pereira, who found that the road between Bambolim and St Cruz was dug by unknown person, creating hazardous situation to the flow of traffic.
Police Inspector Sudesh Velip who is investigating the case said that the incident had happened before October 22. PWD official Vilas Tamoskar had filed formal complaint with the police against unknown person.
The case is filed under section 3 of Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act.
Velip said that the investigation has begun and once the guilty is found his name would be added to the FIR.
Hope Foundation has been taking issues of public cause across the State. Pereira said that she will follow up the case to its logical conclusion.
