Margao: The involvement of Nuvem MLA Wilfred D’Sa in the Krishi Card racket involving his wife is a shameful act. He should immediately resign or his Congress party should confess that they are bunch of fraudsters.
The Police complaint about D’Sa’s wife Freda claiming the benefits under Krishi Card by falsely swearing that she is caretaker of the Agricultural property needs to be taken very seriously.
The schemes like Krishi Card are meant for the poor farmers to benefit and not wife of rich MLA to take the advantage. She has tried to take away advantage from a poor farmer.
This case needs to be looked from serious perspective as a lawmaker’s family is involved in the fraud. The investigations should be done immediately and D’Sa should be asked to step down to make way for independent inquiry.
I demand that detailed investigation should be done as to find out how many more such instances of fraud are done by Freda, her MLA husband or any of her family members.
Congress has no guts to come on the streets now and claim themselves as non-corrupt party. They should first seek explanation from their own MLA over the case.
Also Agriculture department should start surveying how many wealthy people have taken advantage of this scheme by claiming that they are caretaker of some Agricultural land.
