Panaji : National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) Goa Unit on 18 May 2021 today, has launched a vaccination registration drive. “Vaccination is the only hope to save our loved ones, therefore NSUI Goa has started a Vaccination Registration Drive and will be doing awareness across Goa and volunteering in helping people to get themselves registered and vaccinated at various Vaccination Centres across Goa.” said NSUI President of North Goa, Naushad Chowdhari.
“We will be booking slots on the COWIN website for people who wish to get vaccinated. since registration is not possible for everyone we have taken this initiative. Those who stay in remote areas will be given trassport as well” informed Chowdhari.
Chowdahri also opined that “Vaccination is necessary as it will help reduce the mortality rate. The President of GARD, Dr Pratik Savant at GMC has requested people to take collective responsibility and reduce the mortality rate as it will reduce the burden on healthcare workers and doctors at hospitals and give them a much need break to think and plan for the 3rd Covid19 wave”
“Cyclone Tauktae has created havoc all across Goa damaging property and vehicles, thereby rendering many people inaccessible to register for the vaccine on internet and reaching vaccine centres. Hence, through this drive we wish to make vaccines more accessible by offering registration and answer to their queries” Concluded NSUI President Ahraz Mulla.
