Panaji: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Wednesday announced that four private hospitals in the state have come board to treat COVID-19 patients.
Sawant said that these four private hospitals would be in addition to the existing two COVID19 hospitals set up by State government.
Briefing mediapersons after State cabinet meeting, Sawant said that the private hospitals including Manipal Hospital, Salgaoncar Medical Research Centre, Healthway Hospital and Apollo Hospital has agreed to come on board to treat COVID-19 patients.
He said that the state run second COVID-19 hospital has also been commissioned at Ponda town in North Goa.
“We have shifted 27 patients in the new facility,” he added.
Sawant said that the industries have started four covid care centres in the state with the help of Indian Medical Association.
