Ponda: A day after MGP President Deepak Dhavalikar staked his claim on Priol Assembly constituency for next election, his elder brother and MLA Sudin has ruled out the possibility of having alliance with BJP.

“There is no question of forming alliance with BJP. They had severed ties with us. They had removed us from cabinet earlier and also now when we helped them to form the government, they broke relation with us,” Dhavalikar said.

He said that the party is also “not thinking of  Congress as an alliance partner.”

Dhavalikar said that the party has its work in 18 Assembly constituencies where it will be fielding the candidates, but the number can go up to 24 where the party has its sizeable presence on its own or through like-minded people.

When asked about Deepak contesting from Priol, Dhavalikar answered “you ask Deepak about it.”
