Panaji: In a sign that normalcy is returning back at Goa Airport during unlocking period, the flight traffic increased by twelve times in July compared to the month of April, 2020, a senior official said.
Airport Authority of India has tweeted the figures of flight tariff at Goa International Airport, which is located at INS Hansa base in Vasco town of South of the State.
AAI tweeted “AAI’s Goa Airport @aaigoaairport saw steady rise in flight movement since Apr’20. From 27 flights in Apr to nearly 12 times that no in Jul these are signs of normalcy returning. In the wake of #COVID19, we aim to bring Indian Civil Aviation back to normal, as soon as possible.”
The AAI has put up a chart which shows that 27 flights arrived in April 2020 at Goa airport when unlocking began followed by 59 flights in May, 2020 and 265 flights in June, 2020.
The chart further stated that 318 flights arrived in the month of July 2020.
