Panaji: Power Minister Nilesh Cabral today said that there will be no power tariff hike till the time department is in position to provide uninterrupted 24×7 supply to its consumers.
Talking to reporters, Cabral said that his department is committed to people’s issues and hence decided not to hike power tariff as of now.
“Till there is 24×7 power supply there would be no tariff hike. We have to first ensure that we provide uninterrupted power to our consumers,” he stated.
Cabral informed that department has decided to scrap the new Extra High Power Sub stations at Tuem and Verna, due to financial issues.
