The Mechanical Engineering Department of Don Bosco College of Engineering is organising ‘Nirmana 2K22”, project exhibition & competition to provide an opportunity for students to showcase their innovative projects.
Various innovative ideas have been conceptualised in the areas of Robotics, Automation, Artificial Intelligence/ Machine Learning, Fluid Engineering, HVAC, 3 D printing etc. and developed as successful prototypes for various applications like Agriculture, Healthcare, Mobility, Condition Monitoring, Defence, Ergonomics, Sports etc. Many of the projects have been sponsored by Goa State Innovation Council.
The projects which will be on display are “Drone for precision spraying of pesticides on coconut trees” , “Oxygen Concentrator”, “Exoskeleton for Assistance in Walking”, “Fire Extinguishing Action Rover”, “Landmine detecting robot”, “Wind powered system to save crops from birds”, “Squat Analyser for Powerlifting Sports”, “Automatic 2D Thermocol Cutting Machine”, “Automated dryer for unboiled type arecanuts”, “Automated food grain packing system”, “Hands free electric vehicle for disabled people”, Pressure distributing wheelchair seat”, “3D printer for ready to serve baked cake, “Fault prediction in rotating machine components using vibration analysis and artificial intelligence”, “Pneumatic/electric actuator for pick and drop applications”, “Coconut harvesting bot” “Automated pattern grass cutting machine”, “Semi-automatic sand blasting machine”, “Drone inspired by insect flight”, “Coconut dehusking machine” , “Automated seed sowing machine”, “Gripper for Soft Robotic Application, “Predictive maintenance of a HVAC system”, “Pneumatic Height adjustable Table with Bench vice and 360° Drill machine attachment” etc..
The Chief Guest for the Inaugural function is Mr. Jayaprakash P V, Head of Engineering, Head of Center of Excellence – Iron Ore Goa, Vedanta Ltd. Mr. Viraj Naik, Chartered Accountant, Finance Manager, IFB Industries Ltd. will be the Guest of Honor
The event Convenor is Prof. Ajit Salunke, HOD- Mechanical Department and Dr. Suraj Marathe, Associate Professor, Prof. Avil D’Sa and Prof. Sanjil Naik are the organising secretaries. Prof. Sooraj Mohan and Prof. Aniket Naik are the coordinators.
