Panaji: NGO The Ray of Hope performed street plays across the different places in the state on the occasion of Independence Day based on the theme “The True Sense of Independence.”
The 16-member-squad of Uzwaad, a non-profit organization, spread awareness on different national issues on Independence Day.
After attending the flag hoisting program at Dhempes College of Arts and Science- Miramar, the enthusiastic youth began their first performance there.
The chief guest of the program, Dr. Arvind Natu, a senior Scientist in IISER- Pune, appreciated the work of team Uzwaad.
The second enlightening performance of Uzwaad was on Panjim bus stand. It was a very enthusiastic performance by Uzwaad on Panaji bus stand. All the people around us was very happy to see the performance and they appreciated Uzwaad members by sharing their viewpoints with us.
The tasty lunch was sponsered by Nia Restaurant . Crossing talukas Team Uzwaad reached Margao bus stand and gave an energetic performance which inspired many people.
Keeping ”The True Sense Of Independence” in mind, Team Uzwaad focused on certain points including the sacrifice of our martyred Freedom Fighters and our soldiers ,Waste Management, the hard work done by our Farmers and the bias unleashed on human beings based on caste, class, profession and religion.
With the help of their street play, the team Uzwaad helped many people realized our duty and responsibilities towards our nation and make them a responsible citizen of India.
