Panaji: NCP State president Jose Philip D’Souza stated that in spite of the World Health Organisation (WHO)  Warning the Goa Government against  the  use of  administering the Ivermectin Drug to the citizens ,the health dept has decided to carry on with its drive to administer the drug to people.
“The WHO and other well know doctors have warned of the side effects of  the use of Ivermectin drugs and if the government claims it has data of positive  clinical trials and the safety of this drug than they should immediately release the Data failing which this is an deliberate attempt to endanger peoples life” Said D’Souza.
D’Souza claimed that “Few days  ago there was an article where it was published that the government has procured these tablets worth over 22 crores and this could an attempt by the government to push these tablets to fulfil their personal agenda”
“Some states in India facing shortage of COVID19 vaccines & have already warned the central government that if the stock of vaccines is not made available to them than they shall be compelled to float global tenders in order to procure the vaccines and Goa government should also ensure that the vaccine requirement of Goa is procured as soon as possible by hook or by crook as this is the only safe and long term solution to bring the covid virus under control” Concluded D’Souza.
