Colvale: In a controversial development related to the Mungul brutal assault case, a photograph showing accused Amogh Naik, who was recently released on conditional bail, allegedly being cheered by Colvale Jail Warden Laxman Padloskar has gone viral on social media.
According to sources, the photo was taken soon after the accused’s release. It is further alleged that a group accompanying the accused celebrated outside the jail gate, with claims that a bail party involving alcohol consumption took place.
The presence of a jail warden allegedly joining or endorsing the celebrations has raised serious questions, as such conduct is being termed inconsistent with prison service rules and expected official conduct.
