Panaji: Reacting to the press statement by Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat, Entertainment Society of Goa’s Vice Chairman Subhash Faldesai said that selection of movies for Indian Panorama section of IFFI are not done on the basis of language.
He said that the panel of judges selected by Directorate of Film Festival select movies for Indian Panorama section which are showcased during the event in Goa.
“ESG do not have direct say in the selection procedure. It is for the experts to decide. They don’t decide it on the basis of language,” he said.
Faldesai said that it was coincident that during Digambar Kamat’s time, Konkani movie was selected in Indian Panorama section.
He said that ESG does not interfere in selection of movies.
