Panaji: Congress MLA Sankalp Amonkar has pointed out various issues that affects the beneficiaries of Grih Adhar scheme.
“To verify this scheme, the surveyors are on contract basis and when they go to check Houses or Income Tax of people, they avoid going to the villages where there are less cases,” he said.
Amonkar said that without even going to the village, the surveyors mark that House is not found or income is very high due to which the benefit to that person stops.
“The beneficiary is asked to do the paperwork again. There are several similar cases in my constituency.”
He added that when the papers are sent to GEL then the papers are pending there for more than one year. Amonkar said that further delay is done by the Selection Committee.
URBAN HEALTH CENTRE AT SADA
Amonkar demanded Urban hospital at Sada is required considering the coal pollution faced by locals.
He said that the coal handling companies are not using their CSR fund. These companies should use the fund to alleviate impact of coal pollution.
MORMUGAO MUNICIPALITY
Amonkar said that the entire municipality has Single fogging machine and grass cutter, five persons to clean gutters of entire municipal area, senior workers are awaiting regularization for more than a decade,he informed the House.
SADA MARKET TURNED INTO WHITE ELEPHANT
The market project at Sada has turned into white elephant; hand it over to the people as one and half years after the inauguration, it is still not being used.
