Panaji : Chief Electrical Engineer has claimed that more than 90% electricity work has been done “Restoration work has been done, we have assured that power is available to all consumers, by today we will complete 99% work” he added.
He also informed that cyclone Tauktae has caused a lot of damage, the state has incurred a loss of 22 Crores as the cyclone has damaged 45Km of snapped conductors. “Wiring needs to be done polls need to be installed.” he added.
“Margao, Nuvem, Verna, Loutlim, Panaji and some parts of Curchorem and Porvorim were not afected as they have underground cabling. Overhead lines have been affected due to felling of trees and branshes” He said.
