Monsoons weakens over Goa

Panaji: After creating havoc, the south-west monsoons have weaken over Goa coast.

The incessant rain that lashed the State in the first two-weeks of August month, had caused severe flooding. State has so far witnessed 22 percent surplus rains for the season.

The monsoon currents, however, have weakened over the State for last two-days.

Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has said that the south-west monsoons have weakened over Goa coast with possibility of light rainfall.

However, it has predicted heavy rainfall on August 21 and 22.

The State has so far received 3052.8mm of rainfall.
