Panaji: State Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte has said that the department is planning to have model beach shacks at four different stretches in the state.
Khaunte told the ongoing State Legislative Assembly session on Wednesday night that the model shacks would be installed at four beach stretches spread across North and South Goa district.
“These shacks would be put up at Colva, Benaulim and Baina beach in South Goa and Calangute-Baga belt in North Goa,” he said while responding to the Demands for Grants for Tourism Department on the floor of the House.
He said that these shacks will have “plug and play” facility wherein they have to just connect to the sewerage and other facilities that would be provided by the government. Khaunte said that these would be modern shacks which will also have wifi facility for the customers.
