Panaji: The war of words between Ports Minister Micheal Lobo and Saligao MLA Jayesh Salgaonkar has been revived again.
Responding to the statement by Lobo that Salgaonkar got a lottery in 2017 election and got elected in Saligao constituency, the latter said that it was Lobo who had got lottery against Agnelo Fernandes in Calangute constituency with the support of late Manohar Parrikar.
The Saligao MLA also recalled that Lobo was working under him when he was chairman of Zilla panchayat and latter was “just a member.”
Salgaonkar said that Lobo should go back to the basics and perform more as MLA before taking over the reigns as the minister.
He also said that it was just that Lobo “happened to be there” when Goa Forward Party MLAs were sworn in as ministers and also when group of ten Congress legislators switched the side.
