Panaji : MGP MLA Sudin Dhavlikar has urged the High Court to take suo moto cognisance of the current situation that Goa is going through and order for an extended lockdown due to rising covid cases.

“I had requested the CM Dr Sawant to extend the lockdown but i received no response, today surprisingly even President of United States Joe Biden has opined that India needs a lockdown throughout the country” said Dhavlikar

Today Goa is going through a shortage of COVID19 vaccines “I feel the health department and Government of Goa are incapable to remedy the current situation” said Dhavlikar. “Vaccination of those between 18-45 year old persons has been postponed due to lack of vaccines” added Dhavlikar

COVID19 Vaccination centres are ill equipped to handle the situation. Dhavlikar asserted that “Healthcare workers are complaining that they have to work in this hot climate without any air conditioning, moreover the vaccinated people need to rest for 45 Min hence Air Conditioning facilities to keep the environment cool is necessary”

Dhavlikar has suggested that there needs to be an extended lockdown to remedy the situation.
