Panaji: Sanvordem MLA Dipak Pawaskar has anchored his faith on Agriculture Minister Vijai Sardesai to develop Kalem village, which is predominantly an agricultural hub.
In a statement issued today, Pawaskar has pointed out that Sardesai’s plan to have florticulture Hub at Kalem Farm will result in the employment generation for the local youths, and eventually will develop the village.
Pawaskar recalled that he along with Kalem panchayat members had met Sardesai in the recent past requesting him to look into the affairs of the agriculture farm there, which has a potential to generate employment.
“Respecting our request, the minister along with the Agriculture department officials visited the farm and took stock of the situation. He agreed that the further development of the farm will translate into the employment opportunities,” he said.
Pawaskar said the minister has proposed Floriculture hub, which will provide employment opportunities for the locals.
The Sanvordem MLA has said that when there is a mining ban, the agriculture is the only option for the people for their survival. Pawaskar has congratulated and thanked Sardesai for thinking about the village.
