Mayem:The voters of Mayem constituency have expressed their unhappiness over the failure of BJP MLA Pravin Zantye to bring in development in their area. The voters are feeling that Goa Forward Party leader Santosh Kumar Sawant, who is emerging as a prominent leader, is far better than Zantye, due to his accessibility.
The youths under banner of Pilgao Youth FC addressed a press conference to express their dismay over the functioning of Zantye, who has failed to do anything for the constituency, but on the other hand, reacts when people approach other parties for their developmental needs.
“Let Zantye tell us what he has done for the constituency. Let at least one panch member tell us what they have done for the people with the help of Zantye,” the youth said.
They feel that GFP’s Santosh Kumar Sawant is far better choice as he stands with the people and also is accessible.
“Our MLA has disappeared but Sawant is with us. He is always with the people. We wasted vote by chosing Zantye,” the youth said.
They said that unemployment has been one of the biggest issue plaguing the constituency. “We are running 25 years of our age now and unemployed. When shall we be able to get the job and then settle in life?,” they questioned.
