Mayem: Social activist Santosh Kumar Sawant has become a new face in Mayem constituency rubbing his shoulders with Agriculture Minister Vijai Sardesai and Goa Forward Party.
Social Worker Santosh Kumar Sawant took on Mayem MLA Pravin Zantye over his attack on Agriculture Minister Vijai Sardesai.
Sawant said that Vijai Sardesai within 48 hours convened the meeting of Agriculture Officers along with the farmers of Mayem to sort out the problems faced by farmers in Mayem.
Sawant further said that local MLA has become a visiting guest to the constituency and hardly meets the citizens from the constituency. MLA has gone into sleep mode after getting elected said Sawant.
He further said that Vijai Sardesai has also assured that government will take serious steps to start the mining as soon as possible.
Sawant further said that he has always seen that Vijai Sardesai walks the talks. Santosh said that he and other local leaders from Mayem would take all possible help from Vijai Sardesai to take Mayem forward in coming days
