Panaji: Indian boxing superstar MC Mary Kom will be present for the ceremony organised to unveil the mascot for the upcoming National Games in Goa on Sunday.
State Sports Minister Govind Gaude told reporters on Tuesday that the function to unveil the Mascot for upcoming National Games in Goa will be held on June 18 near Panaji.
He said that Olympics medal winner Boxer Mary Kom will be present for the function. Goa chief minister Dr Pramod Sawant, Indian Olympic Association President P T Usha will also be present for the event.
The National Games are scheduled in Goa from November 24-26, 2023.
Gaude said that the infrastructure required to host the games is ready. “We want to make this edition of the games as most successful,” he said.
The minister said that the games would be held in 43 disciplines at 28 different places in the coastal state.
